WHAT IS DOWNDIROAD?

DownDiRoad JA is a lifestyle brand dedicated to showcasing Jamaican travel, food, music and culture in all aspects. This movement started as a blog and was created with a written focus, but with the introduction of our YouTube channel we have opened up a whole new world of visual experiences via the DownDiRoad travel series and Crav'nish food series. As we grow, we continually introduce new ideas and projects to this space.

WHEN WAS downdiroad FOUNDED AND WHO IS THE FOUNDER?

DownDiRoad JA was founded in July 2017. The movement is an effort spearheaded by Duane ‘Doofy’ Phillips who is a Tourism & Hospitality professional from Kingston, Jamaica. Initially, it was just a blog where Duane documented and shared his adventures, shedding light on the many facets of Jamaican culture and it’s tourism industry in Jamaica.

WHO TAKES THE PICTURES AND VIDEOS?

Majority of images and visuals are captured, complied and edited by Duane, who is also the Chief Content Creator. The extended DownDiRoad team also assists with capturing footage occasionally.

DO YOU DO FREELANCE or have services for hire?

Yes we do. From DownDiRoad JA, DDRMedia JA was founded to fill the needs of inquirers who wanted us to do videos for them. Contact us for further information.

DO YOU DO TRAVEL TOURS OR TRAVEL PLANNING?

Yes we have in the past. Due to COVID-19, the service has been on hold, but we do plan to re-start this service soon.

WHAT OTHER SERVICES DO YOU OFFER?
